Baby Mia is 9 Months old and not really a baby anymore! Remember the picture of her with her Groovy Girl just 6 mos. ago? Her personality is developing more everyday. Her Smile melts our hearts! She is happy, outgoing, determined, playful, joyful and a fearless little girl. We have enjoyed Mia so much this month. She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on just about anything..we have had many falls that lead to bumps, scraps and bruises but we guess that is how she will learn.
Mia has had an eventful past month with her first Ole Miss basketball game, finally giving in and loving her soccer ball, playdates with Lily, the nursery opening at our church- which means much more playtime with Rowan and the other babies, discovering her American Girl Doll (Mia), the park, and the list goes on.!
I waited to post this because today we had our check-up. Mia is weighing in at 16.6lbs and her height is at 26.5 inches. Dr. Molly says she is at 10% for both ( meaning 90% of kids her age are bigger than her) Jim did some research and with these measurements it says she will be 5'2 and 105lbs. We might have a little gymnast on our hands. Here is the funny part, her head is measuring at 75%- which means her brain is growing very well..she is going to be one smart little cookie..thanks to her daddy! Everything checked out great! She had to get her finger pricked but she did not seem to mind...she was more concerned with how she was going to get the bandaid off. We don't go back until she is 1! CRAZY
She still says Dada, and Mama but not really anything else. We think Jer-zee is going to come out one of these days..if you ask her where Jersey is she will look around the room for him, which is really cute!
Mia is Mommies little helper, she was helping me get the house ready for bible study the other night by trying to decide what color napkins and paper plates to use. Could this be Martha Jr?

Hey Mitzi! I know you don't know me; I know Meredith Kent and I think she has told you about me, but I have a little boy who is about to turn 9 months and I just love reading your blog because my little guy does the same little things your sweet Mia does. It is so much fun to see the comparisons--from playing with the doorstopper, etc! You have such a sweet little girl! Maybe Baby Ryan and Little Mia will cross paths one day! I love your blog! :)
