Do babies turn 4 months and stop taking naps? Or is there something in the cereal?Yesterday Mia only took 2 twenty minute naps! It was like she thought she was going to miss out on something if she fell asleep. We had a great weekend celebrating Mia's 4 month birthday. On Friday we played with the spoons and bowls so she could be somewhat familiar with them. Saturday morning was the big day! It was so fun getting everything ready..you will see in the pictures I made a huge mess but isn't that what feeding babies is going to be like for a while? Daddy was making her laugh and getting her excited so when we went in for the first bite she did not want to take her eyes off of Daddy. The look on her face at first suggested she was not a fan of cereal, most of it came out but we kept trying and now she seems to enjoy it. Practice will make perfect...right now we are just trying it once a day. It is hard to believe we are moving into this new stage of feeding with Mia. I am sure we will have funny stories to tell as we continue introducing her to real food.
Saturday afternoon we decided to take off and head to Memphis..Mommy needed a Target fix. We found this cute beanbag chair and a leather chair that we put Mia in - Daddy thought the leather chair would be perfect right beside his at home. People in the store probably thought we were crazy but we were having fun. I think we spent over 2 hours in there going up and down the aisles playing with toys, looking at clothes, sitting in chairs etc. If only Oxford could get a Target! My parents are coming in on Wednesday and then Jim's parents will be up Friday.
We are looking forward to a fun filled Labor Day Weekend!
