It is hard to believe that two weeks ago today we met our precious little girl. We can honestly say it has been the best two weeks of our lives. Mia Grace has brought so much laughter and joy into our home. She is changing daily!
So far, things have been going very well. I feel great and have lots of energy to keep up with the new role of motherhood. As of right now she is doing a wonderful job of sleeping, eating and looking cute! :) We actually set an alarm to wake us up at night, so I can feed her. We know this could change at any moment, but for now we keep giving thanks for such a wonderful little girl.
Today we had the pleasure of going to our first doctors appointment..I say pleasure because this appointment did not consist of any shots..that happens at 8 weeks. They said that she looks very healthy, however she is not back to her birth weight yet. She is currently weighing in at 7lbs and at birth was 7lbs 7oz. They would have liked to have seen her back to that weight by the appointment today, however we are not quite there. They have asked us to do a follow-up appointment next week to see if she has gained anything. Right now, they say they are not too concerned because she is having plenty of dirty and wet diapers to show that she is getting enough to eat.
Miss Mia Grace has a very busy weekend ahead of her, we are head to Jackson this afternoon because Daddy is in a wedding and he has his 10 year high school reunion.
She will be meeting her three little nieces as well as some more aunts and uncles.
