Christmas 2009!

I am not sure where to begin! Christmas this year was wonderful! We had so much fun with Mia explaining about the birth of Jesus and what that means to us. She knew it was a Birthday Celebration because we were sure to sing Happy Birthday a few times.
We started our Christmas in Jackson with an extended family celebration the weekend before Christmas...we ran home for two days and then headed back for 6 days.Extended Family Christmas Celebration! Jim thankfully gets close to two weeks during the holidays. We enjoyed spending the quality time with his family and Mia of course could not have been happier having all her cousins around. She was one busy girl trying to keep up with all of them. The girls do such a great job of including Mia which is really sweet to watch.
Christmas Eve..we enjoyed a beautiful candle light service and then headed home for a delicious meal and the chance to open one present. The girls were so anxious that they had everything set up and Mia knew exactly which present she wanted to open first. All of the kids and Pop Pop got Snuggies this year! What a cute picture!

Right before Mia went to bed, Daddy and Mia put cookies and milk by the fireplace and they sprinkled Reindeer Food in the yard. One of Mia's classmates gave this to all of the kids and it was such a cute idea.
Christmas Morning, we anxiously awaited for Mia to wake up. She knew something was going on but was not exactly sure what. We enjoyed a quiet little Christmas Morning celebration with just Jim, Mia and I and then waited for the rest of the crew to arrive for Christmas brunch, games and more presents. Mia's most favorite gift from Grammie and Pop Pop was a Tee Pee tent. Thanks to Smitten Gift Boutique! It is so darling and she LOVES playing inside it. We usually get all of her dolls, Mia, a chair and then of course pregnant mommy and try to fit in there and color. She is developing such an imagination and we LOVE IT. Mia also enjoyed playing with Haley's new makeup kit that we got her. I have a feeling Kristi and Chris are going to get us back someday. The kit was huge and perfect for Haley but definitely will make a huge mess.
It was a wonderful time and of course went by way to fast. Grammie must have been hiding because we don't have any pictures of her! So sorry! We look so forward to next year and what it will be like with two kiddos.
